Areas Inspected
EXTERIOR: Exterior walls, windows, doors and roof are inspected to be sure all components are in good working order.
GROUNDS: A thorough check of the property will be performed to uncover any potential issues relating to grading, sidewalks, driveways, decks, patios, overhead utilities and retaining wall systems.
INTERIOR: Walls, ceilings, and floors are analyzed for clues of structural issues, unusual settling and water leaks. Doors, windows, cabinets and stairways are also inspected for acceptable standards.
FOUNDATION and STRUCTURE: The foundation is analyzed to determine if there is an irregular settling, bowing or cracking in the wall surfaces. Floor and wall structural systems are inspected to ensure no deficiencies.
ELECTRICAL: The electrical system is looked at from point of entrance to the outlets and switches. The electrical service panel is checked to ensure correct wiring practices have been followed. Outlets and switches in each room are tested for correct wiring and opera. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) outlets and Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter(AFCI) breakers are also tested for proper safe operation.
PLUMBING: We will identify the types of supply and waste piping throughout the home and check for areas of potential problems. Inspection of all faucets, sinks, tubs, showers and toilets will also be performed. The water heater is also examined for proper installation and operation.
HEATING and AIR CONDITIONING: An inspection of the furnace and air conditioning units are performed to ensure that they are in good repair and are operating correctly. The distribution system is checked for proper air flow to each room.
